Kobinger Bar
at the Soundworkshop Zloam
The new Kobinger Bar in The Sound Workshop Zloam is more than just an open foyer for intermissions.
Enjoy a cozy evening with good drinks and pleasant music, let the successful concert evening come to an end or fortify yourself during the break at one of the numerous cultural events at the Klangwerkstatt. In the new Kobinger Bar the nightlife of Grundlsee shows its picturesque side.
Why Kobinger Bar?
The artist Hanns Kobinger (1882-1974) made the Grundlseer Zlaim, popularly known as Zloam, his adopted home in 1934, and the enormous creative power of the artist, who mastered a variety of techniques, left behind an extensive body of work. There is hardly a house in Ausseerland where one or the other of the countless wood or linocuts does not adorn one or more walls.
Born in Linz in 1892, after exhibitions at home and abroad, including in Stockholm, Minneapolis and Minnesota, he was also a member of the Vienna Secession.
A good enough reason to name the new bar in the Sound Workshop Zloam after him. The fusion between Viennese Secession and Aussee tradition is also reflected in the interior of the bar.
The Kobinger Bar opens for you at events in the Sound Workshop, on request for private parties and several times a month for specific occasions or themes.
