Troatkostn
The small, traditional ‘Troatkostn’ (granary) is modelled on traditional Styrian building culture and is the perfect inn for solo travellers, couples and small families.
The original ‘Brickl’ of Ausseerhaus welcomes those who come to stay with a cosy hug, while views open up from the light-suffused veranda, complete with its cosy dining area. What is a ‘Brickl’? Originally a vestibule, which created a ‘bridge’ between outside and inside.
And, just like people wear their decorative ‘G'wand’ – as Ausseers affectionately describe their traditional costume – Ausseer houses are adorned with characteristic decorated boards in the guise of all kinds of gable wood carvings and cut boards.
